The newly constructed Original Pocahontas OHV Trail is drawing accolades from ATV enthusiasts far and wide. Constructed to be a more technical trail than most, the OP offers the beginner and the expert rider the same thrills.
Tazewell County has an abundance of walking and hiking trails, from Bluefield to Richlands. From beginner trails to novice climbs, information can be found on the varying trails at the Visitors Center in Bluefield, Virginia.
Cyclists the world over enjoy riding the mountain roads our region offers. The Heart of Appalachia Bicycle Route dissects our county, drawing high accolades from all who ride it. As well, there are bicycle routes through many of our historic towns.
Cavitt’s Creek Park is the center piece of the Tazewell County Parks and Recreation offerings. Primitive and full hook-up RV camping, as well as numerous bath houses, picnic shelters, paddle boats and great fishing are offered here.
